Commencement
2023 Law School Commencement Information:
This ceremony is separate from the UH Mānoa Commencement ceremonies that is held on Saturday May 13, 2023 .
There will be an informational session for the Law School Commencement in the coming months. Please save Friday, May 14 at 5:00pm for a rehearsal session. Location TBD.
When: Sunday, May 14, 2023 Time: 4:45pm (approximate run time of 1.5 – 2 hours)
Place: Andrews Amphitheater
Graduate Attire: Regalia which can be purchased at the UH Bookstore(link is external)
(When on the site, students will need to order a gown, the hood (Law Purple), and the Law Tam and Tassel Set.)
Announcements can also be purchased at the Bookstore.
Students who anticipate not being able to purchase the regalia can ask alumni who are willing to share; the Law School has a very limited number of gowns, hoods, and tams to borrow.
Some student organizations and other groups will have “cords.” Students should consult with their organizations regarding these “cords.” Below is the color breakdown for each organization, and students may work with their respective organizations to order their cords.
**At this time, we are not limiting the number of guests allowed per graduate. This may change depending on the University rules in place at the time of Commencement.**
