Biography
Malia Schreck was born and raised on O’ahu and graduated from Punahou School in 1991. She earned an undergraduate degree in Public Policy from Cornell University and a graduate degree from the Cornell Institute for Public Affairs with a focus on Educational Policy. After working for several years in California, she moved to Milan, Italy to eat, travel, and live before returning to Hawai‘i for law school. While in law school, Malia was a member of the University of Hawai‘i Law Review (2003-2005) and served one year as its Executive-Managing Editor (2004-2005). She has served on several boards of directors including the William S. Richardson School of Law Alumni Association, the Outrigger Duke Kahanamoku Foundation, and the Friends of ‘Iolani Palace. She is a Partner at Lyons, Brandt, Cook & Hiramatsu, a defense litigation firm in downtown Honolulu.
