Biography

Liann Ebesugawa is an accomplished attorney and community leader with extensive experience in corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and litigation management. As Assistant General Counsel and Assistant Corporate Secretary for Hawaiian Electric Industries, she has advised on major transactions, real estate development, and NYSE governance compliance. Her career also includes leadership roles with the Hawaii State Board of Education and notable contributions to civil rights advocacy as Chairperson of the Hawaii State Civil Rights Commission. Liann’s community service spans decades, including board positions with the Japanese American Citizens League and the Japanese Cultural Center of Hawaii.
