Biography
Ms. Keiko Okuhara is the Metadata Services Librarian at the William S. Richardson School of Law Library since 2003 and the Associate Director of the Pacific-Asian Legal Studies Program since 2020. After graduating from the Library School of the North Carolina Central University in 1994, Ms. Okuhara worked at Duke University and the Sasakawa Peace Foundation Library in Washington, D.C.. From 1997 until June 2003, Ms. Okuhara was the Japanese Catalog Librarian at the University of Pittsburgh’s East Asian Library and obtained her second master’s degree in the field of Japanese studies.
Ms. Okuhara is an author of the Japanese law research guide contributed to the Globlex, which is an electronic legal publication dedicated to international and foreign law research published by the Hauser Global Law School Program at New York University School of Law. Ms. Okuhara also has been active in the American Association for Law Libraries and the Hawai`i Library Association serving on the Executive Board for its Associations.
