Biography

Jisuk Woo is Professor at Graduate School of Public Administration at Seoul National University and a member of the New York Bar. She holds a BA in Mass Communication and Economics from Yonsei University, MA and PhD in Communication from the Annenberg School at the University of Pennsylvania and JD from New York University. She has visited the University of Hawaii Law School many times and has been the Distinguished International Lecturer (since January 2015) at the Law School.

Professor Woo is the author of Copyright Law and Computer Programs: The Role of Communication in Legal Structure, and has been conducting research in Internet law and policy including copyright, privacy, obscenity, Internet governance, as well as media regulation and public policy communication. Professor Woo is currently a Commissioner at Korean Copyright Commission.
