Biography

Ethan Higa works to give a voice to refugees and migrants as the current Post-J.D. Law Fellow at the Refugee & Immigration Law Clinic. While in law school, Higa gained experience working on several asylum cases at the Refugee & Immigration Law clinic,  with Aloha Immigration, and interning at the USCIS field office in Honolulu. As the Refugee & Immigration Law Fellow, Higa assists in providing students with live-client practice opportunities before the Immigration Court, the various immigration agencies and the Federal Courts. The Clinic has a dual mission, training new practitioners in the complex field of immigration, and facilitating access to legal assistance for members of the Hawai’i immigrant community.
