From Hanapēpē to Richardson
Harley Broyles
Class of 2022
Harley is a first-year law student, the first in her family to be attending law school. She is also a first-generation college graduate, earning three degrees in Administration of Justice, Sociology, and Political Science from the University of Hawai‘i at Hilo. She also earned certificates in Pre-Law, Hawaiian Culture, and Multidisciplinary Hawaiian Studies in her undergrad. In the time she has spent at Richardson so far, she has joined multiple clubs including Phi Delta Phi, Ahahui o Hawai‘i, Advocates for Public Interest Law, Hawai‘i Women Lawyers, and Students with Keiki. Harley was born and raised in Hanapēpē on the island of Kaua‘i and is ecstatic to be representing her small-town community at this prestigious law school. Harley plans to focus on Native Hawaiian Law and Family Law while at Richardson and hopes to work to better her community with a nonprofit or public interest position when she graduates from Richardson.
“Richardson has provided opportunities for me I never dreamed possible. This law school truly cares about each individual student’s academic success.”
