Harrison Witt
Class of 2026
Harrison participated in Santa Clara Law’s Study Abroad Program in Tokyo, Japan, a four-week intensive program focused on Business Law in Japan. With a strong interest in Japanese law and culture, Harrison was eager to explore how businesses operate within a civil law system. The program covered topics such as the Japanese Constitution, the structure of government, international treaties, and individual rights—giving Harrison a comparative perspective after studying primarily in common law jurisdictions like Australia and the U.S.
Outside the classroom, Harrison took part in excursions, including visits to Japan’s Supreme Court and Legislative Assembly. He also participated in cultural experiences like a visit to the Tokyo National Museum and a baseball game. Studying alongside students from universities across the U.S., Harrison gained insight into the nuances of cross-cultural business practices.
“After studying abroad in Japan, I would like to continue learning about civil law. The experience also sparked my interest in commercial law and I decided to register for a bankruptcy law class to deepen my understanding of business law in the U.S.”
