Recruitment Events on Neighbor Islands (Spring 2025)

We are taking our admissions outreach to neighbor islands! Prospective law students across Hawaiʻi will have the opportunity to learn more about pursuing a legal education during a series of informational sessions in February 2025. These events are designed to connect with local communities and provide detailed insights into the admissions process, financial aid opportunities, and the unique programs offered at Hawai‘i’s law school, including both its full-time in-person JD program and online part-time JD program.

The recruitment events will be held at the following locations:

  • University of Hawai’i at Hilo, UCB 100
    200 W. Kāwili St., Hilo, HI, 96720
    Wednesday, February 12, 2025
    12:00 PM – 1:00 PM
  • Waimea Public Library, Community Room
67-1209 Mamalahoa Hwy, Kamuela, HI 96743
    Wednesday, February 12
    5:30 PM – 6:30 PM
  • Kaua‘i Community College, Learning Resource Center 201
3-1901 Kaumualiʻi Hwy, Līhuʻe, HI 96766
    Wednesday, February 19, 2025
    4:30 PM – 5:30 PM
  • University of Hawai’i Maui College, Hale 217
    310 W. Ka’ahumanu Ave., Kahului, HI 96732
    Wednesday, March 5, 2025
    12:00 PM – 1:00 PM or 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM

These sessions offer an invaluable opportunity for prospective students to meet the law school’s admissions team, ask questions, and gain insight into the Richardson experience. Representatives from the law school will provide an overview of the program details, admission requirements, application process, timelines, scholarships, and will be available to answer any specific questions you may have.

Attendees will also learn about unique programs such as Native Hawaiian Law, Pacific-Asian Legal Studies, and Richardson’s leadership in environmental law.
