Richardson students may participate in ABA-Approved study abroad programs and receive credit. These programs include summer, intersession, semester, and year-long study in a location outside of the U.S. offered by ABA-approved law schools. In general, credits earned via ABA-accredited law school programs can be transferable toward your degree, but students need to consult with the Law Registrar: lawreg@hawaii.edu.
Find an ABA-Approved Foreign Program
- Visit the ABA website to find programs offered by ABA-Approved Law Schools in a location outside the United States. Contact the law school listed for more information and instructions for applying to that program.
- Request approval to attend and to transfer credits from summer programs at other ABA-accredited law schools by submitting a Summer School Approval Form.
- If requesting financial aid for attendance at another institution, contact Law School Financial Aid after receiving approval for the above form.
- If required, request a Letter of Good Standing by submitting an Information Request Form for Law Students.
- Visit the ABA website to find programs offered by ABA-Approved Law Schools in a location outside the United States. Contact the law school listed for more information and instructions for applying to that program.
- Request to visit another law school in the Fall and/or Spring semester by submitting a Visiting Another Law School Approval Form.
