Richardson Law Alum Danicole Ramos ’23 Named to Hawaii Business Magazine’s 2026 HB20 Honoree List

HONOLULU, Hawaiʻi (March 3, 2026) — The William S. Richardson School of Law proudly celebrates alumnus Danicole Ramos ’23, an Equal Justice Works Fellow with the Refugee & Immigration Law Clinic (RILC), who has been named one of Hawaii Business Magazine’s 2026 HB20 honorees.

The annual HB20 distinction recognizes leaders across Hawaiʻi whose work is shaping the next generation of impact in business, education, nonprofit service, and community leadership.

Ramos was honored for his work advancing immigrant justice through direct representation and community-centered advocacy at Richardson Law’s Refugee & Immigration Law Clinic.

“I am deeply honored by this recognition; as a public interest immigration attorney, it is especially meaningful at a time when we are reevaluating what it means to be American and patriotic, and when compassionate, accessible legal advocacy matters more than ever—this honor belongs to our clinic’s clients, students, my colleagues Stephanie and Pilar, and our director Esther Yoo, whose daily tenacity tangibly betters the lives of the most marginalized among us,” Ramos said.

As an Equal Justice Works Fellow, Ramos works to expand access to legal services for vulnerable immigrant communities in Hawaiʻi. His recognition underscores the law school’s longstanding commitment to social justice advocacy and experiential learning through its nationally recognized clinical programs.

“This recognition highlights Danicole’s deep commitment to advancing justice and opportunity for Hawaii’s immigrant and refugee communities,” Dean Camille Nelson said. “His compassionate advocacy and dedication embody the values that drive RILC’s work, which furthers dignity, fairness, and hope for those they serve. Their commitment and tenacity serve as an inspiration to our community.”

Ramos joins a distinguished cohort of leaders selected for their integrity, service, and long-term impact on Hawaiʻi’s future.

Richardson Law congratulates Danicole on this well-deserved honor and celebrates the continued impact of our alumni who are advancing justice across Hawaiʻi and beyond.
