Faculty Scholarship Ranks Strongly Across Key Legal Fields

HONOLULU, Hawaiʻi (Feb. 19, 2026) — Faculty scholarship at the William S. Richardson School of Law continues to demonstrate national impact, with recent HeinOnline Scholarly Impact Rankings placing the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa among leading institutions in a number of core legal subject areas.
The rankings reflect the impact of faculty research based on citation and usage data and highlight how frequently scholarly work is relied upon by researchers, courts, and practitioners. In the most recent subject-by-institution rankings, Richardson Law performed particularly well across several areas central to the school’s academic focus and public mission.
Among the subject areas in which UH Mānoa ranked strongly are:

- Labor & Employment Law
- Human Rights
- Immigration Law
