Richardson Law to Host 2025 Law and Development Conference
On December 5 – 6, 2025, the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa, William S. Richardson School of Law will host the 2025 Law and Development Conference in partnership with the Law and Development Institute. More than forty leading and emerging scholars and experts from Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, and North America will present papers on critical issues at the intersection of law and development, including sustainability and environmental protection, information and technology, international trade, international investment, and property rights. These themes reflect some of the most pressing challenges and opportunities facing societies around the globe.
The conference is open to the public and will provide a dynamic forum for dialogue and learning among scholars, practitioners, and students. The full program and list of speakers is available at the conference website. Advance registration at this link is required.
