Professor Capulong Collaborates on Rule of Law Learning Initiative

Professor Eduardo R.C. Capulong is working with the Holloran Center for Ethical Leadership in the Professions at the University of St. Thomas School of Law as part of a Rule of Law Working Group. The group is developing a rule of law learning outcome, a stage development rubric, and new teaching materials to strengthen how law schools teach and assess this critical area.

According to an announcement for the initiative, “The last several years … have shown us that those involved in legal education must engage in greater collective intentionality to make sure law students understand the foundational principles associated with the rule of law and internalize their special responsibility to support foundational principles.”

The effort will culminate in a workshop on October 24–25, 2025, in Minneapolis. The gathering will provide “an opportunity to catalyze a new generation of teaching/learning materials to help students progress on each of the components of the Rule of Law Learning Outcome.”

Professor Capulong’s involvement highlights Richardson Law’s continued commitment to advancing legal education that prepares students not only for practice, but also for leadership in upholding the rule of law.
